Juliet Diener

Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Juliet founded icandance in 2006 with a desire to build an inclusive community where dance was accessible for all.

She is a Dance Movement Psychotherapist, experienced clinical supervisor, trained specialist teacher, ballet teacher and Inclusive dance specialist. Juliet integrates her expertise to create, lead and research inclusive communities and is currently pursuing Doctorate study focused on icandance approach.

Lewis Dryburgh

Lewis Dryburgh

Chief Operating Officer

Lewis has worked with icandance since 2013, drawing on a range of experiences including; 1:1 work with children and young people with disabilities, working with families and operational management of arts organisations.

He is a keen filmmaker, being heavily involved in the media aspect of icandance and intersecting film with dance to enhance the dancers’ experience.

Natalia Skarpeta

Natalia Skarpeta

Head of Creative Programmes
Natalia is a passionate artist, dancer, choreographer and teacher. She completed her first degree in Fine Arts with a MA in Conservation, continued with a BA in Contemporary Dance and is currently studying with Laban her MFA in Choreography. She founded her own dance company, Ikaros, producing dance productions for social change and is hosting Dancescope- a podcast about dance and life as a dance professional.
She has been teaching dance for over 7 years as well as performing across London and has also been working as a teacher and Art Coordinator in outstanding schools in London.
Ourania Sitra

Ourania Sitra

Dance Movement Psychotherapist & Dance Facilitator (Young People's Site)

Ourania has been working with children and young people in different setting for the past 7 years.

She is a Dance Movement Psychotherapist while also holding a BA in Special Education. Ourania is passionate about using movement and creativity to support young people to express themselves and connect to others.

Agnes Dewhirst

Agnes Dewhirst

Dance Movement Psychotherapist & Dance Facilitator (Children's Site)

Agnes has worked with icandance since 2019. She has worked in a variety of settings, including mainstream and specialist schools, a care home for those with mental health needs and community charities, running both group and 1:1 sessions. She has always embraced dance as a means of expression and communication, which led her to training as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist.

Amy Palmer

Amy Palmer

Dance Movement Psychotherapist & Dance Facilitator (Children's Site)

Amy is a registered Dance Movement Psychotherapist. She has worked within mainstream and specialist school settings, centre for adults with additional needs and in CAMH’s inpatient unit providing 1:1 and small group dance movement psychotherapy sessions. She is currently working as a Scale 5 Teaching Assistant in a autistic specialist school, alongside DMP work within school settings.

Hoi Ching Leung

Hoi Ching Leung

Communications Coordinator

Hoi is a Psychology graduate from Hong Kong, who specialises in Hip Hop dance and using dance to support others. She has worked with older adults in care homes and as a trainee therapist in schools.

She is currently training as a Dance Movement Psychotherapist.

Volunteers

Our volunteers play a vital part in the icandance community, including supporting our dancers as Dance Partners each week, assisting with administrative work and communications, and sewing all important costumes for performances.

 

Student Placements

Students on placement are valued members of our team and we offer opportunities for learning through working directly with children and young people with disabilities alongside skilled professionals.
